I have, personally, always been a dog lover. I  enjoyed spending time with them, and having them around me. I have grown up with dogs, even as a teen I would take them out for runs, bike-rides, rollerblading or horseback riding because I just couldn't see not having them around. My mother bred German Shepherds all growing up and at the age of 9 I started to notice that the dogs responded very well to me. That is when I started to train and show our dogs at all the 4-H dog events. By the age of 13, I would take in and rehabilitate German Shepherds for new homes; after a few years of this,  people just wanted me to come and help them with their dogs. During this time I learned about training dogs for some new things like personal protection and cadaver search. By the age of 19 my extensive knowledge and interest in dogs, along with other animals in general, prompted me to work for Pet Club. By 21, I had added a great deal to my skills and knowledge which found me managing two of their stores. I had also begun to put on events of various types, giving me a great deal of organizational skills and helped at many dog shows as the trainer, organizer, judge or MC of the event. With internal changes to the stores practices along with the growing number of training opportunities, I decided to reduce my work load and move on from Pet Club. I then chose to pursued some of my other interests, by 23 I worked at Anytime Fitness as the manager, really enjoying this new side of my life but after two years I realized I wanted to be a dog trainer full time. I did not have enough time to do both, even with only working 28 hours a week, so I had to give up Anytime Fitness. This is what I always wanted to do as a child but it took all the years and experiences for me to see it clearly. I could help people have the relationship that they were dreaming of when they got their dogs and helping people was the other thing that I found I love doing at all the other jobs! I see so many people that are ready to give their dog away, after just one session they are willing to try, after a month they love their dog which they never thought would happen. My dreams and theirs come true at the same time!

Most of them grew up with animals so having us come brought joy to their day! Now, I work with an organization that assess' the dogs to make sure they are qualified to go to these places. I am pleased to say I have had many dog qualify to go to the schools for both young children and handicap children.

I grew up doing 4-H so I have a big heart for it. At 18 I started teaching the dog 4-H dog class for Obedience and Showmanship. In 2015, I started teaching the agility part also. All kids that are signed up in Obedience can go to any of my classes for free! I will work with them privately also to make sure they are comfortable and ready for their show in March every year.

I had three different teachers in 4-H that really helped me to get where I am today; one was Marry Simmins, she does Search and Rescue with her Border Collie. She was my hero and her dog was amazing to me, that dog did no wrong in my eyes. I wanted one just like him but at the time I didn't understand how to make it happen. I also worked with Bill Ellienger, he trains dogs for EVERYTHING and has a gift for just understanding them, he taught me so much. I refer people to him still for some types of training. I also worked with another trainer that did strictly bite training, I saw first hand how a heavy hand can really ruin a dog. At the age of 19 I was working for Pet Club where I started to learn more about dogs but also nutrition for my furry friends. I was able to see and meet a lot of people, and  learn about almost every dog product on the market. Now, I like to train for Rally, CGC, and Barn hunt along with my obedience and Agility work. I am always trying to learn more improving how I can help others.  I get involve in the community by volunteering with 4H and other community events when I can.  My training has allowed me to work all over Arizona and has extended now to also do working in CA and UT.
